We’re just two dudes who know nothing about application development, but wanted to try super hard to kick out an iPhone app. Sound familiar? Probably. There’s 100,000 applications in the App Store right now, most of which probably never get a download. Everybody wants a piece of the pie. Obviously I think our application will serve a very functional purpose, albeit very nichey. But most importantly, with this blog, I wanted to document EVERY single task that is associated with bringing an application to its rightful place in the App Store – from the perspective of the non-techie average dude.
There’s a lot I don’t know. I don’t know how to develop. I don’t know what Cocoa is. HTML? Keep it. I’m certainly not an expert in anything, nor will I ever pretend to be. But I do have common sense. So we’ll see how far that gets us.
The purpose of this is 3-fold.
1. Provide valuable information to others like us with no development experience, but just a few great ideas
2. Absorb constructive criticism and any advice from the people out on the internets who have real life experience
3. Have fun and make millions of dollars! YEah!!! Wait, no, three is actually a combination of the first two, to create a place where we all can breed good ideas and share great resources and build something useful for our little part of America.
